Hi, I'm a leg amputate and I don't center anything with your forum, discovered by chance. one of the side dramas of an amputete is the uncultivated look of people who meet you in the field of view, especially in summer and in some places where it is necessary to remove clothes. I personally don't go to the sea, in the pool, or anywhere where I have to discover the leg, for about three years. I realize that the aesthetic covers in elastic foam or even worse silicone coatings, which should simulate human skin, miscline and sometimes make the appearance of the prosthesis even more painful. It is much healthier and pleasant to highlight with a pinch of "art" what can no longer be replicated. Excuse me for this premise within the subject. I found in the network of sites where, by means of 3d printing, we create shells in polymers that while recreating the body reappearance of the amputated limb, very important for the welfare of the person, do not have the hateful image of the usual standard covers.
Unfortunately the producer does not market in Italy and the printing company prototypes in 3d that I found in Italy wants sent a stl file that I am not able to produce.
would you tell me a 3d printing site that also provides for the realization of the project cad? alternatively a cad designer who can make the project? I can send a technical design with the measures to be applied, for the "artistic" part I would settle even some bas-reliefs.

As long as I'm not a designer good enough to create a 3d for what you're asking, I think: don't you first buy a standard shell and make it engraved or paint? I imagine it's just a simple cover, without a functional purpose (for functional I mean that I have to bear weight), so take it, bring it that I know, from a student of architecture or fine arts that I engrave it, or from a decorator (think of aerographed drawings like helmets or tanks) in my opinion is the most immediate way. and maybe less expensive
even adapting the stink of a medieval armor could be a solution (maybe a little heavy...) okay, I am letting myself take from imagination

There's no such thing. the only cover of the prostheses, at least in Italy, consists of a kind of sponge that wraps the prosthesis all covered with elastic socks skin color or in a rigid lamination of resin color skin.
