rescue files

I have created a new project (but also for families) called, generically. Red house.
I realized that at every rescue in the directory there were other files with progressive numbering (see imag. attached).
My perplexities, on this matter, are as follows:
1 - These numbered files have a utility ? considering that the source file (red house) is updated to every rescue you make!
2 – the numbered files that are added to the directory in an imprecisated number ....is it possible to prevent any rescue from creating such, additional files?

are called backup files. If you break red house and don't have backup as you do? from scratch?

the backup file is indispensable ....but one and not an infinity!!!!
In this sense you more experienced how you adjust....type you always delete the staleest files or what?

I have still noticed that if I save and say it generates ‘red house 009’ by virtue of such saving,...... if I open this file it does not contain the last changes made that, instead, are present in the ‘red house’ file origin.

how can you avoid creating all those files.... what needs to be fixed / regular?

Yes, sometimes I gate the older ones

look that the source file "red home" is not the backup file! backup files are those with the attached number! It would have been enough to put you in order of date to understand it. . .

Save as > options > maximum backup
