I have a problem in saving a step file. in soloworks.

I'll explain briefly. use sw 2016, the step weighs little, about 6mb within which there are about 25/35 details.
at the opening of the file there is no problem, regular faces, no problem of any kind in short. the problem arises precisely when I start the rescue of the spet in conjunction of sw. lasts about 2 min in which 1 or 2 times mex appear that "it is impossible to save the file". when I finish and look in the folder I see that there are all the saved details (which I hate because if I have a set of 500pz saves me 500 details in my format, imagine the casino if there are copies.. and also this I don't know how to solve it) and seeing the file together just saved brings me 0kb of weight.. nothing in a few words. saved I imagine everything (I didn't even confirm this, but I assumed I saw different pieces) except the general axieme.

Please give me a hand, maybe I'm the one doing [bleep] and I don't know how to solve the problem. If you were so kind to give me an idea of how I can avoid saving every single piece of the aid (if possible) I would thank you terribly.

first of all it is normal that you create each part. It's a set. which is composed of parts, which from somewhere must exist. If you need to change one of these parts or send it to the production cam you must have the single file. if then it bothers you to have the side files in the folder just, in the axieme, select them all with the right button and set them as virtual; In this way the files will be inside the axieme and in the resource explorer folder you will just manage the latter. It should be said that in the folder there can be no double files, either by name (of course) or by type (if in the axieme you have two identical parts will not be created two files with different name but only one). so as to address copies you must know how to manage and organize the work.

It would seem that the problem is precisely on the aid. the pieces that compose it are saved, the full file together no. and I repeat that the rescue takes place in a different folder. I tried to change the mother folder too, creating a folder on the desktop and saving the step them, but the problem does not pass.

in my opinion management should be agreed between you designers comparing the way to work both software.
in solidworks you can make multiple subfolders each containing a specific part of the machine and one containing the common parts between these subparts.
