[resolved] how to rename folders on solid edge?

Good morning.
As from title, I was wondering if someone knew a way to rename a folder without losing all existing links pointing to that folder.

with revision manager, (that I know) it is possible to do this only for "one file at a time":
- selecting "the file
-indicating "where to move it"
-indicating folders in which to search for any links to restore

Now, if I have a folder with numerous files, it would be interesting to indicate that you run that operation in a "a little different" way, and precisely in such a way as to update the links of all possible files affected with the new folder name.

Thank you in advance!

I don't have the cad underhand but you can also rename folders from windows and then use deisgn managers to repair broken links.

always as a design manager you can use the "redefined links" function, we've talked about it many times.

Hi.
Thank you, that's right! ...I've been searching for but I didn't find an answer.

remains the fact that it is a pretty puny command for the fact of having to write accurately the paths, when a more "smart" and automatic option would be more functional (for example it could be a simple "rename folder with self-definition of links" within rm that would avoid all the above procedure).

I think from st9 on there is the "pack and go" option that should be smarter and more functional...but I don't have it.

I assure you that compared to what you have to do with other cads is already exceptionally fast.

What version do you have? from st9 onwards you have at your disposal the fastsearch that should very facilitate this kind of work.

being my a st4 understanding the lack of potential of later versions.
I trust what you tell me about the fact of the greater laboriousness of other cad... however, I clearly solved. :) Thanks again!.

p.s.: if possible and recommended, I would rename the title of the discussion better to give greater clarity and also add a "[RISOLTO]" to specify that the argument is closed... I think it's not possible. - Wrong?
