Hello everyone,
It's the first time I've been writing to ask for help.
They asked me to do a retro-reflector or catadiottro, specifically for an injection mold.
Can anyone give me any indication?
are well accepted all advice.
Thank you.
Patrick

indications of what kind?
production process?
material?
size?
drawing drawing?
modeling through powershape?

we know nothing about you and what your skills are; you could write a book starting from the molding genesis to the technical drawing norms without knowing whether a tenth of what is written is useful to you or if you have the knowledge to understand it

molding an object to print it to injection is a job, it does not improvise.
incorrect geometry, with non-suitable thicknesses, for example, leads to very bad results in moulding, with retreats, deformations, aesthetic defects, until the impossibility of completely printing the piece.
said this, I agree with boulders, if you do not say what your requests are hardly you will be provided with valid help.

Hello and thank you for the answer.I worked in the injection mold industry for more than 15 years.
I only happened on an occasion to see this type of work and the inserts were made in Canada.
What I was asking is whether someone knows or can help me with this project. This is a catadiottro, the company currently does it in Canada but is looking for another supplier, for question of times and costs.
the only info they gave me is the astm rule d4280–03 and the measurements of the 20x60mm piece. inclination of the piece 20°. polycarbonate material.

Thank you.

so you are simply looking for a company that will provide you with the finished printed piece.
I'm sorry, but I can't help you.

not the printed piece. I am looking for who can help me: with 2d/3d design or a company that can make the insert or mold.

I'll be late but something's missing.
an account is to look for someone who can make a 3d model and/or its design, then with that you go to the molder and he takes care of making the mold.
and this famous insert, what would it be?

excuse me if I have not been clear, but the most complex part is the design of the catadiotter for its particular form. usually the company that makes the mold not having the design of this particular, and even if it had, it does not manage to do the processing because they need special machinery. so does it do by a specialized company only this type of processing on a piece that I call insert that then is mounted on the mold. Thank you.

You're not clear to me yet. You haven't said specifically that you need help yet.

from what I read you need a collaboration (remunerated?) for the drawing of the technical plan of the catadiottro.
or this imaginary insert?

clarified this, do you have a 3d model?
if you don't have it as you model/drawn an object that you only have the image? Do you have any more documentation?

what I need is someone who knows how to make the 3d model of the particular in the photo that respects the norm and a company that can make the mold or only the insert that reproduces the effect of the catadiotter.

Thank you.

known that you have glysed on the request if it is a paid collaboration since it is not, as said initially, give you some indication, but to make from modeling to production even more or less partial

I have hciesto help to understand if there is someone who knows the theme is to help me make piece 3d.
if this is not possible and there is someone who can do it and makes me a quote you evaluate how the eventuality of the mold and the insert is evaluated.
It's a forum where you ask for info and help each other with the knowledge that one has or at least I thought so.

Thank you.

mail here the 3d file or a 2d file complete with views here, and see what this is about
Hi.
