Good morning to all,
It is the first time I write even if I have been following you for a long time and I appreciate the work of all of you.
use recently revit so I am not very hard, so I am here to ask your kind help for this:
I'm drawing very simple windows to a door to fit into standard straight walls... My problem is that I can't handle the shoulder straps of these windows in addition to the position of the fixture inside the wall... I can only change the height and width of the window and nothing more... I used archicad a long time ago, and I could handle it very easily.

depends solely on the family of windows you use. probably the one you are using does not have parameters related to the position of the window in the wall or related to the shoulder straps.

I had actually thought that the problem could be related to the window family I use... the point is that I tried to load those present in revit but it seems that no face to my case! And yet I need a very simple window to a door! Do you know where I can find a window like that?

Hi.
it is not always possible to have the "pappa ready".
at the beginning of my adventure in revit I ran back and forth on the Internet to try to have families that could go well for my project... and I never found them... and so I was adapting to what I found.
Then over time I realized the bim concept of revit and I learned to build my own families.... and the work/project has improved, both in time and in surrender.
so some advice... try to do what you want directly!
Maybe starting from here:http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?t=10686from the excellent work step by step to make54 and you will find that in the end it takes less time (and then done 1 you understand the procedure ... et voilà)

I agree to 101% with manuel. sure you don't learn in a few minutes to create/manage families but if you want to work in revit it's a forced step sooner or later (and it's better before then!)

would you be so kind to give me a further straight to create the lock?! we say the fixture with the glass frame etc.

now as I just finished the tutorial with a window to use only for scales 1:100 or 1:200
