Hello! !
Can you export the table of family types to excel?

Thank you very much
That's right.@ mario.biasi
Yes, when you did the abaco you can from the file menu choose export then (discover below) abaco and create a txt file that you can then import into excel.
I hope I've just told you the command sequence.

Okay, thank you so much!! !
So only the abbot, for the family table nothing to do, if I want to carry it all in an abacus, right?

Thank you :-)

must become a shared parameter to put it in the abacus?? But above all, can it become a shared parameter?
or do I first tell him that the properties are not exported? because between remake the whole table by putting the parameters shared, and copying the tables one by one in excel as time I think we are there...
Yes, if we had thought first about what we wanted to do it would be better:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thank you! ! !@ mario.biasi

depends on which parameters you have to export.
What do you mean "family table"?

the parameter that must appear in an abacus should not necessarily be shared, depends whether it should be used or not for more categories of families.
Anyway yes... it is always better to plan first to what you want to do.

if you say that the properties do not export, sooner or later the reality will come out: the properties of can export, but to do so it is necessary to define what information you want to extract, and to define the characteristics (share, type, category, etc...) of assignment.

? ? now I have to turn off x maintenance to the lines, tomorrow I tell you what I mean?? ?

Thank you and good evening!

This is what they asked me to export, the information I put in the family types tab.

I tell you my perplexity:
- almost all the info entered in this table are contained in the technical sheet, it makes sense to copy them (and I have to do it manually, but it is not a problem) in these boxes or does it make more sense to leave everything in the technical sheet?
especially because copying manually means that if you update the data sheet and do not update the bim file (because maybe the tab updates it someone who doesn't even know that the bim file exists, or why the file sends it directly to customers and you haven't loaded it on portals or on the site) the usual disaster to have a thousand different sources with a thousand different information.

- I don't know why they asked me to export this table, considering that all the data comes from the technical sheet, passes by a txt, arrive here, and then we also need it in xls?? I can try to ask. . .
If I tried to give me the database from which the technical cards fish the information (which then go directly on the site) and in the table I put the links to the database cells (as long as it is possible), wouldn't it be better? we could skip at least 3 steps with high probability of errors.
done so more than a bim file seems to me a drawing with attached a technical sheet, besides in a somewhat confused and uncoordinated way.

- to export cmq these infos I should put everything in a fictitious project and create an abacus of fixed furniture and then find out how to insert my personal items in the abacus. . Sort of... right? but does it make sense to create an abacus of a project that does not exist?

For now, I've only done a few files asking for a client, as a test, but now I've been asked to do a lot of it and I'd hate to have to do it again.
@ mario.biasi Thank you!

ciao @vale79,

I wouldn't put this information in the family's properties, rather I would insert a link that would refer to technical information, maybe on a site.
the info for which I would make a link are:
- approvals and certifications
- fixing / installation
- shoot parts (which you already did)
- techincal sheet and maintenance (which you have already done)
all these may refer to a specific pdf file for each property, or may refer to a page, then here depends on how your website is structured.

bim files must contain information, which must be accessible and shared. link or "non-link" information will still be accessible, so ok.

because we asked you these info, depends on who made the request, what considerations have been analyzed. the same applies to the need to export everything to excel.

brief consideration:
I couldn't help but notice that you entered "identity data" a descriptive "material" parameter: plates and rosettes materials.
Actually this should be a material of geometries in the model.

Have a good day.

Thank you very much @ mario.biasi !!!
ok, the link to the company certificate I can do it and it is also quite convenient; then I will have to divide approveds and certifications into several parts for products with multiple certifications but it is not a problem.
but at the moment I think there is no server area that can be linked; or can I link any file in the pc, just don't move it anymore?

so if I put "specified in the technical sheet" also in other items, like "maximum load, tube and material finishing, packaging and weight" 3 maybe even "description" would be good cmq? this always because when we update a tab this is updated in real time also on the site, so all the items that refer to it would always be updated.

yes the material I put it by hand because I could not manage it with the item "by category" as in the example you had left us:-( .

Thank you very much
That's right.

That's right.
regarding the server area to which you can link you can use two methods:

1) static: in the bim file I type the link to the document. the link address remains unchanged, while the content may vary. for example the link is http://www.miosito.it/certificato-prodotto-1.pdfin this case the link always remains the same, but the certificate (pdf file on the site) can be replaced and updated with new versions.

2) dynamic: in the bim file the link changes automatically depending on the product properties. this can be done through three objects:
- the rfa file
- a txt file
- a formula in the rfa file field
In this case, however, the link definition rules must be the same used by the web programmer for the creation of the dynamic web page (php, html or asp/aspx) used for the product site.

you have to “link” documents on a server accessible also by users who use your library files, otherwise they could not download the “linked” file: normally a website.

the name of the field that contains the link must be as explanatory as possible. if in the field insert the link to the technical specifications the field will be “technical details”, if the link refers to the installation instructions and so on.

@ mario.biasi top!!!! !
Thank you so much!! ! ! !
I try to move on a little bit and feel what they tell me from above for these changes.
it would be nice if the site area where to put the files pit ready before I did all the rest of the job but patience, you can not have everything.
Meanwhile I prepare the models, then maybe for the management of the info we manage to do another little course, when they have decided that bim files make available, where and how.
Thank you. ! !
to be very close
That's right.
