That's weird because I replaced the s.o. from 10 workstations from win7 to win 10 pro with all updates and sincerely I see that I have less problems than before and even the pcs that were tired are reborn. You probably have non-optimal hardware combinations to handle software and model. you probably don't have to use the updated drivers but those certificates that maybe are 5 versions before. the dell works well and the lenovo does not? or the contrary?

strange.. very strange....I have the same pc with dual boot 7 and 10 with the same programs installed and in my opinion 10 is much more responsive than 7 .

for graphic performance there is the graphics card. the hard drive being a storage drive affects the program opening time and its files if they are saved on the disk. do a test where solidworks doesn't fit to install the latest drivers, rub them off the non-certified response and test. at work I do not use certified drivers to take advantage of driver news. go to the site nvidia and download.
