Same material different color style..

I created a new material that I imported into a "old" part that I reused but I have problems.
the new material has as "color style" the simple "metalized steel (brillant)", without any modification to the default.
importing the material on new parts (born in inv2010, without it being already present in the model), I have no problem and are correctly displayed.
instead, importing the material on the part, created in inv2009, the "color style" is a simple generic metal, although between the characteristics of the style is correctly set the "metalized steel (brillant)". of course the surfaces have the default properties (they are not "forced" on strange colors).
Where am I wrong?
