save everyone,
I have worked for 10 years with proe 2001 and in recent months with wf3.
now as a company we have to choose whether to continue with wf or try some other alternative.
we process the design of automated machinery, mostly they are machines of which we realize not + of some units, with studies with a maximum of 1000 assembled components.
I witnessed a demonstration of solidworks 2010 give a few hours and found it interesting from the point of view of the interfeccia decidedly + affordable and for some specific functions, see multi-component parts and creation of structures, carpenters assisted and for the ease in the quotation of the masses on the table.
I have noticed a graphic representation of the models very to "animated card" and I have some doubt in the management of the great assemblies.
I thank everyone who wants to give me his opinion.

see wf5 and then decide. coming from pro-and 2001 it is obvious that solidworks 2010 seems very easy to use.
here almost all are aside and will tell you that their software is better.
also not only evaluate software but also assistance and training.

Regardless of the cad you will use, I don't recommend it
think only if you have to make a change of an existing project (you would work on stp files without model tree ) and an even simple modification would definitely + complicated to do.
or think you have a particular similar to one already designed in proe, with a simple copy and rename you could save yourself a lot of time and have the special new already with the table.
Unfortunately I think that the choice of a parametric cad is difficult but once made it does not change.
for my experience I use pros in a field where we work with many surfaces, if I had been the one to decide I would probably have made a different choice, but when I entered I found this and I do not dream remotely to change.

Well you actually use already pro-and you better keep doing it. consider that there are many improvements from wildfire 3 to 5.

in the management ofI think proe has no rivals. to recommend the use of aax (advanced assembly) for all design functions topdown .
I find that sw is not at all efficating in this type of design.
If you learn the wildfire interface well, there are no particular differences. Don't be fooled by demos!
multicomponent parts If that's what I think... definitely useless to me. However proe allows you to do the same in various ways. to you choose the simplest and most effective one for your purposes.
proe has no limits.

Is it true? complete in surfaces (they always serve! even to those who make mechanical design!)
put in the table. proe is complete. Just use it. There are effective methods to make perfect table harvests. Do you know them?
interface as cartoons? I think so. but if you want the famous "black bags" of the piece also in proe you can do them. I use them.
