save each single layer in different dwg files

hello to all I would need help, I am brand new to autocad and similar, but for a thesis work I came by force of things in contact with these realities.
the software in question is autocad mechanical.
part of the work involves saving each layer in different .dwg files. I tried to use divlayer suggested by the user gp. but in autocad it works and in mechanical no.
I ask help to the gurus of macro and lisp, please help me... .

but cannot you use the lay command and wblock to save the visible entities?
or do you have to automate?
