good morning to all, I am new to the forum and I address to you to have some delucidazione on autocad 2015; I use the software of autodesk since I first met him in high school during mechanics.
I wanted to ask you something that, surely for you will be banal, I never understood how to use at best: the layers. I found the square with colors, thicknesses and types of line and everything else but, all the time I start a new design, I have to create from scratch all the layers every time, unless I make a copy of a design, the save with a new name, I delete the content and start drawing what I need. the procedure described does not seem very logical; exists a method to create a worksheet with the layers I use habitually, and to ensure that every face I have to make a new design opens up that sheet with everything ready?
excuse me the question that safe for you habitual users may seem stupid but, using software almost and exclusively for hobby purposes, I did not follow particular courses. I await your answers and your advice and thank you in advance.

once you set the basic design, with layers, quota styles, text styles and company just save the file as a model, then in the curtain save select the dwt extension (and pay attention to where you save it)

perfect found. so when I have to start a new design I open that pattern and rename the file with the design name. Is the procedure correct?

I am amazed at the poor initiative of those who ask questions, you are not the only one not to worry.
Save the model and then open it and find out what happens (nothing explodes, I swear), it doesn't seem like a complicated sequence to ask for confirmation.
if you do not behave as you should expose your perplexity

You're right I'm sorry, but, not having the opportunity to try immediately, I responded in that way as if I had a confirmation that I understood well. this evening I will try and in case of doubt I will expose everything.
Thank you so much!

do not open that model, but create a new file starting from that model. subtle difference, but important to understand.

saves the design, purified by every graphite entity as a design model (dwt). the program will ask you the file name and say you call it pippo.dwt.
to every new design, acad will ask you the model with which to create the design and you will select your pippo.dwt
if you want to make it even easier, save the new model in c:\users\utent\appdata\local\autodesk\autocad 2010\r18.0\enu\template with name acad.dwt and acadiso.dwt
obviously the red part depends on your username on the pc

from that moment, at the same time when you launch autocad you will get all your things directly without passing by "new file".

I'm not experienced. only curious, many of the demands that are made the exams for the first time (see last discussion on the blocks with attributes), then between saving the discussions that seem more interesting to me and a good ability to search on the internet and on the guide I make my dirty figure.

I'm like you.
there were more curious designers/projectors, this site would be less crowded with amenity and really useful for those who really need help. . .
