saving and encoding welding bodies in external axioms

according to you which logic uses swx in a part of welds when using the command saves the bodies?
Since intelligently swx creates folders for different types of bodies - identical to each other - why then when I go to save the bodies does not propose me 1 name for 1 group but proposes me 1 name for each element??? with obvious coding duplication for the same item? ? ?

As it is essential to have a well defined file code for each piece, in my file management it would be very useful to make each member correspond to a code assigned by me. according to you it is possible using the properties of welding? the command saves the bodies has the inconvenience described above. .:frown:

I think the problem is "as saved." I have carefully observed the result and I think that swx saves the volume in space referring to the origin. at this point two volumetrically identical bodies have the volume arranged differently in space and does not recognize them as identical.
This is a big limit and we should break the boxes as far as possible to our var to ask for an improvement that allows the recognition of the bodies.

I press that I do not use this export function. when I use welded I put them on the table as well as they are and I am happy with it since the cutting distinct are well made and without moving a finger.
I would try with solidworks explorer, tomorrow I can check.

you are right, it is very comfortable the welding function with its separate cut.
the problem is that according to my conception (but I would say, in general) to a piece must correspond 1 code (in our case code = file name).
Unfortunately, with this limitation, you have to rename everything by hand, with great loss of time and possibility of error.

on one side I regret not being able to exploit the potential of welds (see extending-accorcia, distinct, automatism in the joints, etc...) but I think that to get my purpose the assem be the only way... waiting to know if there are tricks! !
I design industrial and agricultural equipment, with great use of carpentry and sheet metal. . .
