I'm encapsulating in a very simple first-hand processing, but that's giving me not a few problems! I have to get a swing on a sheet and I don't understand why there is no such simple function in inventor 2008 that allows me to raise the sheet from a 2d sketch... or am I wronging the procedure?
the bounce command simply creates an extrusion from a sketch on a floor placed frontally, so it is "almost" useless to me...how should I do?

I would like to get a workmanship like that circled in the photo (ok, this is trivial, you could also do with a simple extrusion on one side and a negative extrusion on the other)

But with the punzone command you do nothing?

the base is a revolution, the semicircle of a wheel, and the punzone function does not go...

I don't know inventor, but you don't need anything in this case.
that's a molding piece and you don't get it in die-packing.
Therefore I recommend a normal solid modeling "from the full", to which will follow a sguscio for the attribution of the final thickness.

I think it exists, maybe it has a particular method of insertion.
in creo (pro/e) for example calls punching and you have to use or build the punch to do it (a parallelepiped with roundings).

the problem is not so much succeeding in making the punch, which is also very simple, the fact is that then inventor can not make you development. In fact, as maxopus says, inventor only develops what can be done with knife bending machine (linear folds) or by rolling. This is a piece to print.
