I also had and I have every so much visualization problems with the m4000. when I bought it I reported the thing here on the forum. nvidia did not really do a good job with this product, which I remember cost more than 800 euros. I then started a laptop with a p3200 that seems not to suffer the same problems, but I use it much less and therefore the comparison I think not entirely truthful.
about the drivers sincerely I have always kept the certified ones, but with win10 it is a problem to prevent them from updating themselves and then for a while I no longer find the certified drivers for my model of workstations and sw on the site of nvidia. However even with certified drivers the problems were the same.
I recommend you before buying the new tab, if you can try it even if it is very difficult to succeed and check if even these last ones are afflicted by the same problems.

the m series had several reports of problems, having heard them for time, I avoided buying workstations with this series. I have a pair: a p4200 on the laptop and a p4000 (it seems) on a fixed workstation. never a driver problem. But mark it another thing. I've been using a desktop gaming computer asus for years with sw. is not one of "prezzaccio" but costs significantly less than a workstation of equal technology. works wonder, it is very fast, never a problem of graphics and with a log key inserted by hand, for a certain period, I made it work realview. this to say that a good gaming pc could give excellent performance at a definitely lower cost reept to a workstation.
