selection of an object with ctrl in autocad 2012

two questions on autocad 2012:

- How come I've got some dotted lines, like they're selected, even when I don't have active commands?
- Why, when I go to make a selection, don't I use ctrl? with previous versions, having to select an object superimposed to others, I clicked on holding down the ctrl and selecting the objects one at a time

that is a problem with graphics card drivers?
Maybe try to update them.

have changed the selection system for overlapping elements.
now the ctrl-click is used to select a surface of a three-dimensional object.
for the selection of overlapping elements, in autocad 2012 there are two methods:
1) cyclic selection with choice from a list: simply select a window with a list of overlapping elements. just select from there.
However, you must activate the cyclic selection window. look down and you should see the cyclic selection window. you can activate it by pressing ctrl+w.
2) cyclic selection with direct choice (without list): If you let the previous one disabled so you can select an overlay item you need to position yourself with the mouse but without clicking. capital prizes+space and you should see the alternation of items on the screen. when you have found what you want, click with the mouse.
