separate connection / views

Hello everyone, I've been wanting to ask you this for a while.
I often happen to have to connect a view of the same table but it is located in a different sheet to the same distinct, I remember that in previous versions of sw there was the possibility to connect a separate specification to the desired view.. in version 19 but I don't hesitate to do this, which seems rather strange to me, do you know how to give me a delucidation about it?
