hi to all I wanted to ask you something I made a gate with the structural elements, can I pull out from what I made the linear meters of material you need, and a distinct executive of the pieces that I have to go to cut and assemble with its measurements and degrees? I hope I was clear. :finger:

Yes, you can.
If you work with the table (see attachment) by adding the appropriate equations (you can add them in the cell you are interested in) you can get a separate with total meters.
the menata is that you have to do it by hand (at least I can do so)
I personally make the table so (ml parzial) as from attached file, only in case of really large objects I carry the table and work with excel.
I also modified the left part of the railing and ran 2 sections so you can see the differences.

already is a mike thing thank you so much, but I do not understand where the equations are put and the first time I do this procedure. .

ok mike I will give a reading, in case I don't understand something I will let you know....:finger:

can you have the file in version 2011?
to understand better... Thank you.

hi mike I gave a reading to the equation, and I managed to do something I still have a doubt how did you put the grades?

It's a property, you can automatically insert it.
dx key at the top of the column and then from the property manager choose "angle1".
for the other corner choose "angle2".
you can, however, save my file table as a template, so you can
recall the same table that will recompil according to the new side file.

created in flight with version 2010.

day mike,

I ask you because you have already talked about this but I do not remember where:(

in welding environment I also add sheet roll. using structural profiles the sheet should be larger than the hole.
I should do so to give an automatic name to the description item in the cutting table but I have no idea how to make it select a quota within the description.

type:
"height rate" +15mm x "width rate" +15mm.

so that if I change quotas to the structure I also update the description of the various panels. Is it possible?
Thank you.

p.s.
I followed your advice and I am changing the way to design using assemblies and welds for my work

Hello mike 1967,
would also be interesting to me to understand how you entered the ml parameter (linear meters) in the table?

from your example, which I also used, I cannot understand where you entered the formula that calculates the ml parameter.

hoping you will follow this post again, could you explain more in depth?

sincerely, I did not understand how you entered the ml parameter (linear meters) in the table.

Excuse me both for the delay...

after entering a column, rename the same with an appropriate name
(in my case I called it "total ml".
this name, whatever it is, does not apply any peculiarities to the column, only the insertion of the equation will make "function" that column.
I don't dilute anymore, I created a small video that should make it easy
understanding.

thanks for the video mike. All very clear.
for the moment I do not use the welding functions very often, but I care to understand how they work.
Today I tried to draw a structure with structural members.
Once finished, I put the structure on the table and put a separate cut.
I do not understand why I do not get out the numbering of the various tubular parts that make up the structure.
Where am I wrong?

Hi.
Thank you 1000.
even if for the work I do I will use little these functions, but you have been very helpful.
The only thing I've noticed is that you have to be careful how to select the groups of the structural elements, otherwise you can find them in the table all mixed between numbering and corresponding length.
I did a test...View attachment 30227:finger:

in the table you can click and drag the table files and reorder them as you like. the numbering of the ball will be updated accordingly.
for the rest the tables work more or less like those of excel; click with the right (always clik right in swx, I will never stop repeating it) and look at all the options.
