Hello, everyone.
I wanted the topic on the various places that talk about distinct made from solid works but I didn't find my case.
we are going from autocad to sw. progressively make 3d of individual details with sw. the tables remain the original ones until there is a revision or a new piece, at that point we also use for the sw tables.
in this phase of passage we must maintain a management of files compatible with both software, especially the distinct ones.
Many boards encoded in autocad represent a set and not a single particular, but the distinct and managerial group these pieces scattered under one code. I want to replicate the same thing with sw.
synthesising, in sw I have a main set, consisting of parts and under assemblies, I put on the table, I insert a distinct materials by popping "only parts" and obtain a list from which rightly are excluded all under assemblies. easy and fast, no problem.
but in some cases I would like to force sw to consider some under assemblies as individual parts.
Is that possible?

when in the separate materials you want to display the assemblies and not the contained parts (typical example is a cylinder) you must:
open the interested assieme
go to the configuration table
right button on the affected configuration (if you have more than one)
in the voice distinct options materials imposed as hide hide hide hide
