hi to all I have installed from a few days patran and nastran 2010, I solved the licensing problems, the problem is that with patran I don't know operckè I can't work on full screen when I try to enlarge a quarter of the screen remains cut. ...someone can help me? ? ?

I did not contact the msc also because I think it is a problem of video card my friend has the invdia and win7 and it works well, another has the radeon as mine and gives him the same problem.

Anyway I did a test by making a cn model the "classic" version, the model is right I took it from a tutorial on youtube, but when I do the analysis gives me an error related to the p3_transi files.... cs is it? ?

please ensure your p3_trans.ini or site_setup file correctly points to the solver executable or that you have correctly set the proper environment to do the same.

do analysis, entire model, analysis deck
then open nastran and select the file created by patran
then load the result file if op2, or attack the xdb.

your problem that environment variables or p3_trans.ini file that report to patran the location of nastran are not well set.

I'm doing a structural analysis of the fem through nastran. after modeling the geometry with patran, I launch the analysis with the nastran solutor but after a few moments the written "no valid number, the numerical constants are decimal (17)" and closes the command prompt window. obviously does not create any output ".xdb" files.

Why don't you open a post dedicated to your problem? instead of putting you in another post?
but does the software give you a message in Italian? Mah!
what are you using? Patran?
verify that in bdf (or dat) the numerical values have the decimal point, while the indices do not have it.
