service pack compatibility

I wanted to ask if someone can tell me if there are any compartmentalization problems between different versions of service packs.
in other words, I know that you can not read models made with higher versions of sw, es made in 2011 do not read in 2010o 2009 etc..
but between different versions of service pack? e.g. models made in 2010 sp 5.0 and can you read with s.p 4.0?
only because a customer has a s.p. below mine and does not intend to update it for now and so I just wanted to take the question off.

service packs are compatible with each other.
normally solve bugs.
sometimes add improvements to existing commands.

that I remember, only once it happened that the service packs lost the compatibility and was aimed at the simulation data that if done with the new sp and I went to open them with the sp0.0 there was no way to succeed.
