set scale of a design

Hello, I designed an open polygonal on autocad. I was asked to print it in scale 1:50.000.

How can I set the scale on autocad? I tried everything but I can't...

However in the preview I come out a totally white sheet, where the design (as small as it became) is practically a dot... How is it possible?

I carry what is suggested in the link:
If you need to print from the model set the following print scale: 1000 mm = 2000 units

the make-up (not to slip away) is always put 1000 mm and then the desired scale, for example:

1000 = 100 -> (scale 1:100)
1000 = 500 -> (scale 1:500)
1000 = 732 -> (scale 1:732)

to print from the layout you have to make sure that the print scale is 1:1 and in non-inch millimeters as in the sample file.
then if you use the layout you have to create in the layout a window with the Italian finmul command or English _mview and zoom appropriate to the print scale you want.
