in practice, I found only that to fill or not the text during printing on paper or on pdf I must use "textfill" + "0" or "1", but I remember well that it was possible to give this indication, much more quickly and intuitively also directly from the printing window... the problem is that now I don't find that tick and I don't remember where it was placed...

You probably refer to "previous" opening from the print window. find it in "shading window options", in the drop-down menu "shade print"
