I need to do a sketch in the drafting environment starting from a top view. In practice the customer asks me a 2d maximum of the mold before giving me the ok. to do this I put in top view my details and then drawing around the top lines of the mold. the problem lies in the fact that when drawing in 2d is with the sketch tool and with the normal lines, I can not use the lines of the top view. I don't feel the lines of the view in any way even if I enter into expand. Where am I wrong?

dx key on the view, "general" tab set "extracted edges" on "associative" and here you should succeed.

then to be able to sketch by taking the references from the top view, on the toolbar "sketch tools" there is a curtain where you have to select the sketch view, otherwise by default work on the sheet and you can't capture the internal objects to the view.

I miss something, if you have not worked in master model, you don't need neache to put "extracted edges" as it directly feels the model when selecting a view to sketch, the extracted only serves in master model mode.
Isn't it that you have the layers of the view turned off when you're drafting? I will explain better, if you have for example solid on layer 1 and when you go in draft and enter the view you have active layer 1 and turn off the others, if you then turn off layer 1 (in layer setting) and put es work on the 2, in fact being the layer 1 turned off in the view if also the active to make us sketch he does not feel the model.
