Settling inventor

Hello to all I introduce myself: mauro,38 years ,papà ex designer and now employed as a cnc operator
between short return to the world of cad with artisan company that uses inventor and who no longer has the reference person for the program.
I kindly ask if someone sends me some material and explains how to set the project file so that everything is efficient.
in short where and how to set the fields I find quadrupled a project and I find the bookcase, the date design, the templates, etc.

I had already read the online guide and between one test and the other something I improved.
I think, however, that there is a problem between the existing templates version 2008 used with 2013 version because it asks me to migrate files.
I saved the models with 2013 version that is currently used and settled almost everything.
2 questions:
- design data (design date) and content center files (content center files) need to be updated or can I use those found vers.2008?
-now that the templates are updated with 2013 I can open the parts, assemblies, tables with 2008 (think not).

the content center can also keep it there and as it updates. the data design you have to migrate them (there is a procedure on purpose) and with 2008 do not open the files of 2013, which is worth vice versa.

So you can't save with a previous version?
and install the 2008 version there are conflicts?
so for customers who have the vers 2008 you work with that and for the other customer who has the vers2013 you work with 2013.
my future owner used 2008 and then he realized it was late and he had to buy 2013 so that in theory there are fits

technically you can install the versions you want and live with.
You can't commercially. ask your dealer but you will see that today you can buy the 2016 + sub and then you can install the 2016 + 3 previous versions. so nothing 2008.
