shadows not displayed

Hello, as object I ask lumens for shadows:biggrin: a long time ago I made a render with autocad, I think 2009, and it seems to me to remember that when I activated the sun the complete shadows and the illuminated sky, they saw the shadows on the ground in the autocad window without throwing the render. I went to the 2011 trial version but I can't do the same. I activate the sun the sky illuminated the shadows but in the window you do not see, I have to launch the window to render. Can you help me? the computer is a workstatio hp z600, processor intel xeon e5504@2,00gb, ram 12gb, windows 7 64 bit, picture video card fx1800 8 gb.

In fact now that you make me think when I made the update that is occasionally requested, I also updated the video card. I don't want you to have me wrapped up. Unfortunately for my problems it is almost a year that I do not do something in 3d and so I do not know when you might have occurred the problem. I can't do the sestem restoration a year back, I'd lose imported data and installations, I think.
I'm not even able to dismantle on the software and the settings of the video card are all in English and I don't understand it.
Can you help me? Thank you.

Hell, no one else happened today. I must have mistakenly pressed a few buttons while I was tapping with autocad and now when I press the button it matters, instead of opening the search window on folders or directories, the file name request appears to be imported into the command bar. How can I do that? thanks tristan.
