share with external variable

Good morning.
I have several odds consisting of an initial string (type profilo on c 80x40x25x3) followed by the design value (contained in signs <>). to change the profile, I intervene on the quota text, etc. etc.
I ask if it is possible to tie this string to an external variable, so that at varying it, they can change all the strings of the quotas in a single blow.
