Hello everyone, I'm looking for the solution to create a round metal frame hopper that has flanges (folds) on the frame edge obtained from a single piece, something similar to this:Tramoggia quadro-tonda con pieghe.webprealize the "cono" in sheet metal is simple, what I can't do is add the flanges of the edge on the square side.

could you help me and possibly send an example to swx2012?

... thinking about it a moment, I know that it is not possible to obtain bending with the edges ...

What do you think?

I don't understand why you named the *2014 file. ...
I attach my solution, but I made it with 2014. .
Hi.Cattura.webpps: I did not add the equation to automatically extract the fold angle of the edges.. but it is simple to add it.

hi mike, thanks for the attention, we stopped at swx12, I wrote *2014 only
to give a random name...

copying you, I arrived heretramoggia.webpI don't understand how to attack the "language" with "cratching" ...
Would you please attach some screen shoots?

This stinks of incoming problems;p but I still do not understand which ...

Hi.

this is the correct configuration. the folds in the 4 edges until made by centimeter, that is, fold to small straight segments that emit a curve. so doing you get a central flat triangle. for pray tabs are added as function for each side and you can fold them with the press. Alternatively you can make a square frame and weld it

ok, it is clear to me feasibility in the workshop, my doubt remains on how to get those flanges that mike1967 managed to add and then I guess to fold in the swx model...

being I stopped at swx2012, I hope that mike1967 or others with swx2014 they want post that show how to add the "language" that I imagine will then be to fold with just angle
equation to automatically draw the fold angle of the edges. .
with the command "cratching" ...
I can't add tabs at the moment... :(

hi reggio, begins with drawing the hopper with "folding with loft" and not with loft...
I'm sorry for the brevity but I'm running...

hi, my first example was loft but after seeing your example, in the 4th post I put the photo of a "folding with loft", but also so does not make me do the passage after: add the tab ... 8-?

hi reggio I attach you two images to make pieghi as pieghi not as tabs, I also put the modified mike file sw2014.
practically make the first perpendicular piego to the hopper cut, the three high parallels to the first, perhaps it is easier.

hi ciarly, thanks to the support, unfortunately but I I can't select the edges to make the fold or other: my swx2012 just does not want to take the command (in the picture-tondo case), while as you see from my file, in the picture-quadro case it makes me do it without problems.. .

This is the point where I can't follow mike1967 or tea in the framework-tondo example....
perhaps it is a novelty of swx13 or 14?
I attach the 2 square and square-tondo-frame files: could you look if you can add the folds in my picture-tondo?

I can't download files, but if you change the sketch of the tondo as explained in the guide solve your problems, trust me.http://help.solidworks.com/2012/italian/solidworks/sldworks/hidd_sm_lofted_bend.htm

Done! :d thanks to all :d
in the help and in your example I kept focusing on the cut that opens the sketch and makes it become open line, I escaped the rest...

But now I explain it better so when in 1 month or a year I will forget, I will be able to reread without breaking the boxes to anyone. . .
swx "folding with loft" is not able to allow the addition of flanges or tabs or other on the edge in the case of round sketch.
the only way to get a similar mooolt thing is to cheat, in this case it is about replace to the circle a square (or rectangle) with rays on the edges so large that it will seem a circle but will have 4 very short lines that will be used by swx to "loft" the big sides of the first sketch with the very small sides of the second sketch.
opening both sketches, so as to get an open path, "folding with loft" will allow the creation of the sheet metal piece but also the application of additional flanges or tabs or other on the edge.
allego 2 images to highlight the existence of the 4 short lines necessary

Come on. We did it this time....

ps: in 2014 you no longer need to do that right section. . .
watch a little video about yt...

ahh... if I'd just searched the forum... http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?16081-sviluppo-cono&p=245345&viewfull=1#post245345you want to explain and post screenshots.... :bekle:
thinks I was in radiology today (I broke my thumb) when I posted your solution....
therefore: the rule to perform a round/quadro cone trunk is reported in the solidworks help from times
memorable and you do not have to scandalize if (not respecting the rules of modeling) the sw rebels.

Hey big:
... well, come on, to understand it from the guide it takes a genius, it's not clear, and even in the other post I saw that they put us a bit before understanding... ;

in the end all right then, indeed nò, it seems that in your parts you can not even do the:finger: ...
jokes aside, I hope nothing serious to your thumb, I also hope it is the hand opposite to the "mouse"... good luck, thanks again and soon!

good morning, could someone help me realize the plan development of a sheet to realize a frame hole hopper?
the base size inner hole 300x300 mm
head over size hole 60x60 mm
height about 150 200 mm
I only have autocad lt and I'm not even good at using it... say I would really need a quoted pdf if possible

if you have autocad is not this section
you do not know that to make a development of sheet metal also serves the thickness of the same
the rise can not be variable to estimate about less almost because different developments emerge
o ho solo autocad lt
and rightly in the profile write freecad... clear ideas
say I would really need a quoted pdf if possible
If you're commissioning a job, that's not the section.

guadi I am not commissioning any work, I have to make this fitting for a lamp for my shed, but I am not able to do it I have started spavaldo thinking of succeeding and instead I am aborn
the profile is old I opened it even before I have autocad and sincerely I do not remember at the time why I write freecad
the thickness would be 2 mm
and h we fixed 150
Thank you.
