Good evening,
I hope to find some users who can help me. I find myself having to solve this problem: I have a joke similar to a jammed shelf where at the end it acts a cyclic impulsive force that after some series of cycles broke. the material with which it was built this rod was steel s235jr. I can't act on any parameter as a form or decrease in impulsive force the only changeable parameter is the type of material. My question is simple: with which steel can I build this line?
what I look for is a shock-resistant steel so with high resilience (suppongo), on the net I found many theoretical articles on charpy tests but none of these indicated a list of the best shock-resistant materials. I had thought of a s355j2 or a s355k2 as they have a high resilience already at low temperatures (the working temperature of the bar is that environment) but if you want to push me to some even better material?
ps. I take advantage of it to thank all the users of this site who provide their experiences and their knowledge and give the possibility to us "projectists" to the first weapons of being able to learn so many things.
