simplify together to send customer step

Hello everyone,
I had a problem with inventor 2012, I should send, in step files, the machine's axieme designed to the customer in such a way as to allow him to verify if he is dimensionally in his system.
Obviously for corporate secret I should first simplify and delete all the internal components of the machine that would otherwise be visible in the step; I tried with the "simplified contour" command and I made several attempts playing with the settings but nothing to do. I would like on the one hand to completely fill the inside of the machine (to understand how it was a single concrete block shaped outside) and on the other to keep the details on some particular surfaces (the flange where he will go to attack the machine at the plant). with the attempts I made I never managed to achieve these two things properly. Any suggestions? ?

depends on how your machine is composed... and from the machine, of course but a possibility is to derive your whole together in one part taking care to exclude internal parts/axioms and, if that is not enough, making extrusions to remove what remains inside and you do not want it to be there. can be a workman or not, depends... That's what comes to my mind.
Bye!

I had already followed this road, but I had all the inside empty. I would have used it as the last beach if possible, I hoped there was escamotage to avoid this brutality because the axioms on which I will have to do it are more than one...
Thank you.
