size and extend

in autocad 2019 is it possible to avoid that the icons "cut" and "extended" are nested?

It's a bit of a break, having to open the curtain and change the command, so: can you have the two separate icons like "Once"? Do you have to customize the icon bar?

ps: is there a philosophy behind the choice of autodesk to shorten these two commands? I mean, it's obvious that while one draws a little size and a little stretches, and it must continually change command...here, why did they do it?

when you launch the 'cut' command, if you select the object holding down maiusc, run the extend and vice versa. I don't even launch it anymore
the alternative is to change the user interface and insert two separate buttons

I tried, but something doesn't fit: I click size, hold down maiusc and click on the line that it does by limit, drop everything and click on the line to extend.... nothing happens.

I tried to read the cad guide too, but I didn't understand anymore.

first select the cut/extension limit followed by sending, then pressed maiusc to cut/offcommand: _trim Current settings: projection=ucs, edge=no, mode=rapida select the object to be cut or select the object by holding the maiusc key to extend it

I can't tell you in truth... maybe so many versions ago was a unique command, which then separated, but the truth in my opinion doesn't even know the programmer who did these commands?

apart from that size/ends are "reversible" commands with the use of the shift, as indicated tristan.
and by reversible I mean that if you wash the size, the shift does you as a stretch, but if you wash the stretch, the shift makes you as a size.. .
in all cases there is a beautiful thing called "keyboard abbreviations"... you to cut the curtain, change the icon, then select the... ?
I write t on the keyboard, followed (differently) by sending or space.
perhaps the programmer did not place the problem because he cut and stretched out knew how he compiled it and how to reach it. . .@tristansize and extend have never been a single command, at least from version 2.5 onwards (year 1986).
