Good morning.
is it possible to create in inventor the equivalent of the skeleton in creo? you can create a part that contains a simple sketch. This part will not be part of a set. Once imported into a set it is possible to bind the parts of a joint with the skeleton sketch creating variable geometries (e.g. suspension of a car). going then to change the sketch of the skeleton (for example by changing a corner) the parts bound to the skeleton will move thus simulating the movement of the suspension. Ultimately to vary the geometry of the axieme you do not change the constraints but you share the sketch. I hope I've been clear.
Thank you. Good evening.

I think it's basically a driving sketch. Yes, in inventor you can do. in practice is an ipt made of only lines in a 2d or 3d sketch depending on the need

the skeleton part, as well as the frame generator, also serves to do what you described: type the operation of a suspension. I have to say that I have never been involved in such a project. I always used the skeleton for the frames.
the procedure should be this: you create a new set, you create the skeleton part with the special command, or you simply insert an empty part. in this empty part is created the sketch, or the sketches, which will command the operation of the various parts and from these sketches will be derived the various components. One important thing is to create, within the sketches, the sketch blocks and will be these sketch blocks that will guide the movements between the parts. But this I tell you theoretically, because I never had to use it in practice

Thanks for the answer. I'm trying both with the skeleton function, and creating a simple sketch inside the axieme. In fact, with the skeleton function you can do as asked and is very similar to the skeleton function in creo. the advantage of the skeleton compared to the sketch is that the axes can be created easily. in sketch you have to create plans to create aces. Thank you. Have a good day.

another question about the skeleton: in I create being a part it is possible to import it in any together. in inventor can do the same thing?

Thank you. Have a good day.

yes, even in inventor the skeleton is inserted into a part that can be used for several axioms

you can also generate axes from geometries present in a generic sketch... you are absolutely not bound to create axes from intersections of plans.

for more complex things, you can also work in multibody.
