slowdown problems with heavy files

Good morning.
I have a pc with processor intel(r) xeon(r) cpu e5645 @ 2.40ghz 2.40 ghz (testually from system requirements), with 12 gb ram, 64 bit system and video card nvidia picture 4000, but, in any case, working with very large files and with many reliefs and external loaded references, I practically always have problems opening slowness, regeneration, management colors.
Do I Have Insufficient Requirements?
thank you and excuse me if I might have asked a question already made, but I looked for and found nothing specific.

I still have big problems in layout, having many windows with different handles of layers and colors.. .

no one is born learned but fortunately there is google. Have you tried writing lidar on any search engine? However, lidar is a remote sensing system based on sophisticated laser spacers. It's like a laser scanner.
How many layouts do you have? more than 10?

no then I would say I don't use from the lidar.
I have a single layout, but made up of fifteen windows. . so they want the tables!

installed autocad service packs?
They will not solve your problem, but it is always an attempt to do.
Also make a nice purge.

Good morning I recall the discussion, since it did not have a conclusion.... I have a hp workstation - intel xeon cpu w3520 2.67ghz - 8 gb ram - nvidia picture k620 - use win 7 64 bit with autocad lt 2015.
I have a file of 1.6 mb where I have a layout with many windows and my problem is slowness in working and saving. (in the file are loaded xref, I thought it would solve all slowness problems. . . )
I checked the service pack and it's the last.... what tips?? Thank you.

349 layers including those of the main annotation scales 100,50,20,10. purge already made.. .

here the layers could be one of the reasons.
on the windows maybe I said a half buggy because he has to do a window regeneration, so if you have 50 he has his nice job. .
