slowing down with the 2011 autocad cyclic selection

Sorry my continuous questions but I just started and I'm still very inexperienced:
in autocad 2011 there is a very comfortable command: selection cycling when I click and my selection square includes more objects opens me a window where I can choose which to select (while you had to shift + space to alternate choices)
only that after one or two minutes I keep this setting activated, it begins to go all slower and, even the pointer moves me to snaps.
in theory my pc should be more than suitable as features.
Do you know if it depends on some setting, if the command has software problems and if I can solve the problem?
He was coming back very useful and I wish I could use it without problems.

In short, even with very complex designs or using inventor-type programs with sets with about a hundred and more components and subaxis, the pc does not slow down and works well, while with a setting of a 2d that, after all it seems a half-coated at the level of commitment of cpu, I get stuck everything
