2d autocad user to work in the field of architectural design I kindly ask you a advice to expand my knowledge and learn to draw in 3d, make rendering, etc.
the software are many, I am dismayed, and I wonder what software I agree to invest my time to learn how to use it in relation to utility, diffusion, job possibilities, etc.
thanks in advance

Unfortunately in Italy there are still many, too many autocad lt users working in the field of architectural design, so I would say "learn well autocad"; at the limit put the nose in the 3d autocad (which in very few use).
If you have to launch yourself on the 3d I could propose entry-level sketchup, otherwise go on revit! the spread of the bim though, unfortunately, in Italy is still back

If you already use 2d autocad, in less than a week you can take 3d autocad.
then renderings you make them with 3dsmax (with a little extra commitment. to obtain professional quality you need a little practice).
Where's the problem?

thanks endless to both for the answer. with autocad I had already begun to learn in 3d but a little for the fact that for work I did not need, a little because I find it not intuitive and a little because no one I know used it I left lost. In my field, however, what I might need is to be able to represent, for example, the inclusion of a new building in an existing context. for the rest the 3d serves little and perhaps only the great architecture studies that deal with large projects use it. But unfortunately there is always less work so it is better to qualify more and more.
I will follow your advice, thank you, and if after the things I have written to you now you have some extra advice I will be grateful
Hi.

I learned to use the archicad, which I think is easier than the 3d autocad for modeling. of course the final result is discreet, but not optimal. to achieve excellent levels you can perfect the work with the max 3ds, but as they have already said tristan and marcobi, it serves a little practice (I would say) to understand the program well, that without doubt at the end gives you satisfactory results.
Good luck;)

As already mentioned, the results of the renderings of archicad should be improved, so it is recommended to use for the final rendering of another type 3ds program. is it therefore possible to open a file of archicad with 3ds and make the render??????? in such case in which format do I have to save?
Thank you! ! ! !

there are many discussions, of comparison between software.... try to use the button "about" top right (on the blue bar).
If you have specific questions, then it makes sense to continue this discussion.
just to facilitate a little... . :http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?t=17257http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?t=20724
