good evening to all, it has long been that I no longer attend the forum but in the last year have changed some things:rolleyes:

as from title they are looking for advice on the program to buy (not directly me but it does not matter:tongue:) to produce large amounts of sheet metal channels.
the channels in question are those that are seen on the roofs of the large sheds, those of the conditioning or however of the air, with insulating material and not.

with this program you should be able to create square channels, round, with fittings, joints, flanges, grates, shutters, brackets.... I mean everything.
should develop sheets, number of flanges required, number of various accessories.
of course generate developments compatible with the most common cutting machines (stingling plasma laser)
should have a 2d section to generate drawing boards and joints of plants.
must facilitate the creation of estimates. channel weights, linear meters, processing friction and other must be automatically (or almost) generated.
I apologize if I stay a bit on the vague but I'm new in this field so I don't even know what to say or ask you:redface:

if someone starts giving me some advice maybe try to give some extra details!:finger:

we are evaluating software but I would like to have some advice from you first!
Can someone already do this kind of work and give me some advice?

I speak to you as a pro/e connoisseur.
has an excellent sheet-metal (module sheet) included in the base package.
as all the parametric cad returns distinctly effective and customizable.
the unifilari patterns are extractable with the piping module (optional) with which it is possible to extract them from the 3d or import them from external files in order to build their own system.
if you want more info contact me privately.

hello maxopus thanks for the answer.
we are evaluating a software specially designed for channelling.
As you have seen, I know well if. while being inferior to pro/e it would be good but it would be to model everything from scratch.

we have seen a software of mc4 that already has vast libraries from where to draw and studied specifically for what we need.
with purely mechanical software should be created models and appropriately parameterized assemblies to get something fast.
However if you have advice I would like to listen to them:finger:

creating parts and assemblies doesn't seem to be a big problem.
I think building libraries for the sector you're talking about is a pretty simple operation.

you probably need to do a maximum analysis of the products and do a comparative test on the basis of which then make the choice.

you are right, creating patterns and assemblies would not be a big problem, you will lose some time at the beginning and you create all the necessary libraries.
I have to go see a demo on unspecified date, it will clarify several doubts.
if someone knows specific software enlighten me:biggrin:
in the meantime thank you:smile:

I remember that in the past he had spoken of cadmatic, developed for piping in the naval field. I don't know if he can do what you're saying, so he can also make sheet metal tubes and developments.

Bye.

thanks hunter, I will look for info also on cadmatic.
Hi.
I give you a site that my company distributes:http://www.overcam.it/programmi/logi/logitrace.htmlis a very specific software that is used to obtain the dima or dxf for round square channels and square-tondo fittings. very simple to use. For example, to achieve a cone simply insert the two diameters and the height and you get the development.
If you need a demo of the program, go ahead.

Thank you andrea, I will also keep your advice!
The demo to which I have to participate has not yet been made, as soon as I know something I am deserving!

Hello number1, I'm sorry, but I only saw your answer now.
Thank you for reporting, I took a look at him!
