Hello, I am a student of mechanical ing, who therefore knows very little about building (not that of mechanics it goes much better...), I would be of help for personal purposes, a software for the design and verification of a structure (part of a roof) made of steel and concrete even with less than 50 knots.

free software (certified) for checking structures does not exist. are all paid. some sw house allows the use of sw for trial periods in limited times (and with reduced functionality).

Several software houses offer free products (some also for professional use) with limited nodes (100 or 150).

In fact, for the profession, they are almost useless considering the limitation of size.
