software simulation extrusion

we are evaluating the introduction of a simulation software to implement our design of extrusion heads for thermoplastic materials.
Does anyone have any information about any specific software?
at the moment I had the first info and an economic evaluation from for the virtual extrusion laboratory (vel).
alternative software?
Is there anything free, possibly?

back on the discussion after a long time, the situation covid had put us on stand by research, now we would like to return to the topic.
we have been made a simulation with ansys polyflow, results that adhere to what is then found on the field, so I look very positive.
the negative aspect is given by the cost, probably difficult to support if not by those who make the simulation their business.
Does anyone have any indications of other software suitable for these types of work?
