soil modeling for excavations and creation of clays

Hi.
I have to create an expansion case that is a water basin starting from a natural soil of which I have a topographic relief. I must therefore make some sterris according to a certain geometry and then create the reservoir of the basin that must be subjected to certain constraints that I carry in the enclosed sketch.
in particular it is seen that the red line is the existing soil. the point a is the first bond and constitutes the projection on the drawn section of the perimeter of the entire arginal detector. such perimeter obviously has variable z altitude as the ground is not flat. the other constraints are the slopes of the embankment, the excavation of sbanking and the summit share of the embankment, which is fixed.

Is there a function that allows me to easily and quickly set everything in order to obtain the values of the excavation and filling volumes?

Maybe if you specify with which software. . . !
I'll let you know if you want to do something like that with autocads, dreams. already with civil3d you could try better understanding the constraints imposed

if possible with revit because I want to use a bim program. I know that there is an extension of revit that is called "site designer" but I don't find enough info on how to use it for my purposes.

...because by law in 2019 all engineering studies will have to work in bim

cit.: decree n. 560/2017, so-called bim decree. with the entry into force of the decree, in fact, will start from 2019 the obligation for the contracting stations to preview the use of building information modeling for all works of more than one hundred million. progressively, until 2025, the obligation will be extended to lower expiry contracts until such procedures are introduced throughout the public works system.

ok, for public works of more than one hundred million euros, but this does not seem to me the case. But you know what "working in bim" means? because if you think that designing with revit is the equivalent of "working in bim" you do not have very clear ideas.
I don't want to waste your time anyway. You want to do it with revit? better start studying dynamo and python

to me it is necessary to calculate volumes of excavation and renterro of those clays and as such clays follow the conformation of the existing soil, have sections not uniform but variable; I therefore need a bim or something similar that allows me to draw and output also the value of such volumes.
ok where do I find the right links for those programs you indicated?

thank you for the links but if I have confused ideas on what is the bim, you have the ideas much more confused than I am looking for, but vabbè

you have much more confused ideas than I'm looking for
what civil3d does to you while revit no, unless he "programs" through dynamo and python...trust, since I work with one and another, besides taking courses.
Then do as you like, nothing comes to me in my pocket to tell stories

Civil 3d we already use it in the office and with it we model the ground to create clay towers and towers. but the values in cubic meters of the volumes of such earth movements do not know how to extract them accurately since there are several internal layers of different material. If you have any indication, come.
revit has a plugin that is called site designer who deals with soil modeling but I discovered it only today and I have to bang our head to understand its functioning. Do you know him? Do you have any indications?

time ago I wrote this post... there was a rather annoying kiss but maybe now they solved ithttp://ctrl-alt-cad.blogspot.it/2015/01/problemi-nel-calcolo-dei-volumi-con.html

do not lose our sleep; it does not solve the problem and indeed it generates new ones since it is full of trunks

Try to see if something like this can do for you.
https://youtu.be/t59mhn23eicThis is a Swiss add-on x allplan. in March will also be available in Italian. if you do a search on youtube with "baugrube cds" you find a lot of examples

Thank you, this seems really interesting to me as a program. provided that I have never used allplan, I went to the program page, but I do not understand which version would do to my case, since I would use allplan only to shape topographic soils to make excavations and retreats for creation of clays. Can you help me?
the Italian version of baugrube where you will go to discover in March?

allplan has dozens of configurations that are activated by code (not plug-in or additional software). the product is one (it is the code that enables the display or not of a part of the program). for example I use mainly configuration for infrastructure in c.a. (allplan engineering). then there is for example a configuration with the only solid modeling prasolid (the one of rhino x mean us), the specific one for architects, that for designers (only 2d), combined configurations (2d+3d+architecture, territory, rendering, etc.).
my commercial representative told me that the baugrube (land movements) will be distributed directly from allplan italia s.r.l. Taking care of bridges and tunnels, I can't wait to use it myself in March. I am not a seller, so you should visit their page (allplan.com) or contact them.
