Hello everyone, I am new and inexperienced in the use of cad programs.
I recently started working for a company that produces piping in the naval field (small therefore).
Currently all the work is done on autocad 2007 in 2d.for a new project I tried to redefine my 3d knowledge by reinstalling an academic version of when I went to the university of solid edge v14.. .decisously dated though I had already used this program and allowed me to create frames for pumps and plant brushes (with pipes, fittings and valves) more than discreetly and to make well-structured and detailed table harvests.
my problems arise from the conditions to the counter and the "future"... I explain better; in order to realize the components, the assemblies and the relative masses to the table I did not take long time but the problems there were when to exchange the data with the colleagues who used autocad 2007 it became necessary to convert the .drf files to .dwg.ci were problems of conversion of scale, selecting the appropriate options the program
I lost so much time to adapt my work to another program and format.
According to you, is there a way to speed up the processes to allow me to work as much as possible with the solid edge by implementing only at the end the right and optimal conversion of the designs?
regarding the "future". ..do you think that my work with a cad3d can give fruits by obtaining greater mastery of the instrument or the use of the 2d is the only effective means in an ambine like that of piping?
I hope I explained. ...thank those who want to answer me.
