It's a corporate choice. .
if your prodote is exclusively maccanic
if the electrical design takes you out
if you are not interested in a complete dmu of mechanics/electronics/pneumatics
if you don't make virtual immissioning machine
if you do not have the skill for simulations
if to document use the drawings and not the pmi
if the production is made of the third parties to which the piece of paper is supplied
if the forms are simple
if you do not have "pattern" details to do on your objects

... having nx makes little sense... you would only pay more for functions that you will never use and experience only a useless "heavy" (heavy in the side sense... use, costs, maintenance, etc.)

from us machine/system/system come out complete.design is completely carried out by our ut.
the dmu speech is very interesting. We have simulation skills. 70/80% of production is carried out by third parties. particularly complex forms happen, not often. pmi, mbd for now nothing.The speech management big assemblies is interesting. we are leaning on thirds for the digital twin of a couple of machines, just with nx. I don't know, we should make a more accurate assessment with our dealer.
My curiosity is pure, but I mean, if it would be worth it....

absolutely.
I like to make the difference between a high-end and a mid-level.. .

However, as mentioned by @cacciatorino It's not all gold that glitters.
an audi r10 is not an audi a4 sw that goes stronger:
- costs five times so much.
- makes a noise at 150 km/h
- when you make a cut
- you're choking tires in 20000 km
It's hard to drive.
- he doesn't have an apple car play.
- brings only 2 people
- he has no trunk
- glass rises at half the speed of the a4
- if you have to get up on a rock you have to stop, go through and get down the same
- has a ridiculous steering radius
- has an anterior/posterior/lateral visibility
If you take a hole, it looks like they kicked your ass.
