solid subtraction

Hi guys, I started modeling a kitchen (very simple and minimal) with the box command I realize my base where I have to insert a washbasin shaped according to a tutorial found on the internet. If you want, I'll link it to you.
My problem is then subtract the part of the base that intersects with the washbasin (of course being the deepest washbasin)....I tried with boolean and proboolean...and opened up heaven... or nothing happens or sends me tilt the pc.
How can I do that? ...I had thought of extruding down the part of the base below the sink...or do you know other methods?

Isn't that maybe you're using 3ds max?

However perhaps my previous answer was forviant....I was using 3ds max...autocad was ironic...I can also use autocad if you consider it a 3d modeling program

Of course if you use autocad as you use 3d studio you're wrong.
for autocad architecture goes more than well and if you already use it for the 2d would be faster to learn to model with that rather than learn from scratch a new software.

regarding your problem, have you seen that to operate with the boolean you have to select the operator to and the operator b (the two solids)?

I don't understand it... I don't know how to use it... I was "playing" and I had this problem and I hoped someone would give me some advice.
I know that autocad for architecture is more than good.. I made a 3d of an entire building for the thesis (including interior)...the booleniana know how it works...but cmq does not lead me to the desired result

if proboolean does not suit you go polygonal modeling with edit poly

After transforming the base into poly, do an inset on the top (the hole) of the desired thickness. then select the face and extrude it down or if you want the gates completely getting the necessary hole.
