autocad 2008 - I can not solidify polygonal mesh, even the simplest one. the message is always the same: "solid creation failed." Can someone help me figure out why it gives me this mistake? Thank you.

to the limit, try to explode and then apply the command to turn it into solid.
a polygonal mesh exploding it becomes a 3d face.

What command do you use?

can you kindly post a dwg with mesh alone?
I'll put the dwg file. the mesh of magenta color are those that I can not solidify. I couldn't even do it with the others, but then I made a copy side by side (the original is the one all in white), and on this I solidified with the command ms.

Sorry ignorance...what command turns a 3d face does not flat in solid.

...the mesh of magenta color is what I can't solidify. . . .
I didn't have a problem. I put the dwg back.
I recommend, for a better definition of geometry, to create mesh with a higher surftab1 and 2.

for example extrude (normal to the face), or m2sa of arklisp (normal to the ucts), but you would find yourself with a solid "spigoloso" and without curves.

Well I can't understand, maybe the problem is my 2008 autocad?
I copied the two files of the "meshtoserf" in the autocad support folder, and uploaded them from "application charge" and then executed the ms command, as a minimum height I typed "0".
Thanks anyway for the interest.

I didn't notice the error message that gives me on the command bar when I try to solidify with the meshtosurf "ms" command.

the message is as follows: "Impossible to treat the contour"I hope it will be useful for the resolution of my problem.

on the dwg you posted it works perfectly, I can't replicate the problem, verify the existence of the retino ansi31 and that the variable measurement is set to 1.

if it is not so set in this way and try again the meshtosurf that you already use, if instead it is ok proof, in the order, the two lisp that I attach, then let me know.

I did all the evidence indicated, I also tried to proceed on an autocad of my friend, but still gives me the same mistake. the strange thing is that I copied one of the polygonal mesh to the side of the existing one, and I managed to create the solid. thinking then of having solved the problem (linking the problem to a matter of contours), I tried also with the other mesh, but it did not work. I'll try again, and if I solve it, I'll let you know. If you have any further evidence to suggest, I would be happy. ;-)

I don't know, as you saw from the dwg that came back, I didn't have any problems whatsoever, even with the original mesh.

do one thing, type sysvdlg (if you have the installed express), save as .scr the list of your variables and post the file.

If I type sysvdlg nothing happens, it does not recognize the command. I attach the result of modivar, if you also meant this.

You obviously have no express tools installed, the .scr file created by sysvdlg would allow me in 1 second to uniform my settings to yours, setting all the variables of my autocad.

However, taking a look at the txt you posted, it doesn't seem to me that problems can arise from these.

We still do this attempt, download this further version of the lisp, send it running, paste into a txt the contents of the text window after an abortion attempt of the ms command and post it here.

already that you are there, please create an ansi31 retino with scale = 1 and indicate the offset distance between the lines of the same.
