Hello everyone! !
I recently started making massive use of parameterization within sw (I have 64bit version). as from script I collect the interested part to a file of excel (in the company there is the 2007 professional package) and all function for a few sizes after ché begins to appear the following message "impossible to open the file '.xlsx".

I stress that initially the double sw - excel works perfectly and only after some uses (but no modification to the sw part or to the excel file) the parameterization system becomes useless.

I ask if any of you have already happened such an inconvenience and if, above all, there is a solution.

Thank you 1000!! !

do you all have office 2007 or mixed?

by scruple I'm trying to convert excel's pilot files into 97-2003 compatibility mode... I'll soon know if the problem persists or not

I confirm that the problem is limited to excel files in 2007 version.. .
I'll give you a tip, I wanted to try, but I never had time to try. try setting excel so that you work by default with the previous version files. I don't know how to do it, but it should be possible.

Bye.

p.s.
is office 2007 updated? Did you check on automatic updates? You know how it is, even microsoft for the trunks.... don't joke!

I have several files with solidworks+excel 2007 many rows and columns and regularly get damaged.
without talking about biblical opening times. I have an excel file that opens in 30 minutes.
I have spoken several times with solidworks but the only answer was: it is not done to have so many configurations. I told him, but where did you write that he has a limit of a few dozen configurations?

We hope only that in America they have pity and solve the problem, but I believe little. but that was just the problem, the good thing is that it also loses the switched on parameters in the configurations, you will find out going ahead.

Hi.
the response of assistance is painful.
If so, then the solidworks corp. would not propose, develop, support 3d central content and sw functions tied to him (defeature, property table, etc.)
It's an answer to get rid of the hangings.
Anyway, I remember there was such a problem.
I recommend that the operating system be updated with the latest patches, as well as solidworks with the ultim sp and office.
If you don't solve it, try to rename the regsiters, if you can't do it, on this forum it says.
if you do not solve, try uninstalling and reinstalling.
I have everything to 64-bit except for office 2007 which is 32-bit and I have no problem.
