solidworks su hdd esterno

Hi guys, maybe the topic has already been dealt with, but I haven't found anything on the forum. is it possible to install sw, the 2018 version, on an external hdd and have the same functions as if you were working on your pc? I also searched the internet but I didn't find anything.

I don't know sw 2018. but you can normally install programs in any location.
during installation indicate the external disk and there are no problems.
The only limitation is that there will be a certain slowdown, but maybe you won't even notice. depends on the use you do and the files you load.
