Bye to all,
I am doing the spectral analysis of a building with ansys and I have problems reading the results: I have seen from the guide the procedure to follow in order to insert the answer spectrum and to do the analysis and I have seen that in order to review the deformed and the stresses on the structure it is necessary, after carrying out the analysis, to read the program the .mcom file; the problem is that when I admit the /input command,,,mcom I get warnings of this type:

lcfact is not a recognized solution command, abbreviation, or macro.
this command will be ignored

lccoper is not a recognized solution command, abbreviation, or macro.
this command will be ignored

lcdefi is not a recognized solution command, abbreviation, or macro.
this command will be ignored

then when I try to see the deformed, it shows me how the building didn't deform at all.
I don't know if I'm wrong with the input data but I don't think because I followed the directions of the guide that seemed pretty complete to me.

I can't find any source that explains something more and I'm desperate! !

Can anyone help me? ?

thanks to all in advance

Hi.
I'm with the same problem, and I haven't been able to solve it yet. .according to me it has to do with the fact that at the beginning of the analysis the guide says that you have to make available in the database the .mode and .full files relative to the modal analysis made previously to the spectral one, but I did not understand what is the command to use (maybe *get) because in the guide is not explained. . .

Have you followed chapter 6.3 well? Step by step? in theoretical line should not be necessary to insert commands in the "input line". .

Hi.
I followed all the steps of the guide:
1. modal analysis
main menu-solution-analysis type-modal
analysis options- block lanczos
analysis options- n° of mode extract - 20
analysis options- expand mode shapes - yes
normalized to mass matrix
The

2. spectral analysis
main menu-solution-analysis type-spectrum
analysis options- single point spectrum
analysis options- n° of mode used for solution - 20
analysis options- calc el. stress - yes
load step opts - spectrum - single point - settings - seismic accel
load step opts - spectrum - single point - settings - scale factor - 9.81
load step opts - spectrum - single point - settings - excitation direction - 1.0,0
load step opts - spectrum - single point - freq table - I entered the frequencies
load step opts - spectrum - single point - spectr value - I entered the spectrum values for those frequencies
The

2.b combination of ways
load step opts - spectrum - single point - mode combine - srss
load step opts - spectrum - single point - mode combine - displacement
The

should be right from how it is explained in the guide, but when I go to see the deformed is as if the building did not deform. .probably it is because I have to combine the results of spectral analysis with those of modal analysis and I have not understood how it is done

I also realized that doing the modal analysis and then going to another analysis, the program no longer shows me the deformed of the structure..I also tried to read the .mode file to the program with the command file>read input from. but nothing; I don't know what's wrong

reading the guide well, it is written that before expanding the ways of vibrating you have to resume the modal coefficients obtained from the spectral analysis (utility menu' - parameters - get scalar date) and use them to scale the modal forms (utility menu' - parameters - set prameters)..but doing so I do not solve the situation, because the deformed does not make me see it anyway. You know what I'm wrong? ? ?

I finally managed to see the deformed..the problem however, is that at the end of all analysis, the values of the movements and the tensions are the same as the modal analysis: It is as if it did not make the combination between modes of vibrating of modal analysis and its modal coefficients of spectral analysis. .

Any idea?
