I can't recreate the same conditions as yours, in the tests that I make the properties are always restored integrally, and if I create a new body or a geometric group, take the default settings.

in the case of copy and paste there is the possibility to inherit the colors of the reference feature

to change the parameters:
menu\instruments\options\infrastructure\part infrastructure\document part\colore on import management

try to change inheritance

then when selecting the part, in color ownership/management (you can select the option)

even if I don't think you're gonna do anything in your case.

select the original body and then what you created, and check the values that appear in the window (fallo for colors, lines, points etc.)

as you see in my case the first body has been modified as thickness, while the second added keeps the default.

It can be that the file they gave you has "locks" in the graphics properties.
