start pro/e on linux

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and would like to ask for your help. I installed pro/e wildfire 3 on opensuse 11.2 x64 without any problem, I have script files in a specific folder, but when I launch the starting script with

First of all, it has to launch it without "." in front of proe, usually it is used ./nomeprog if it is not in the path but it launches locally, then keep in mind that pro/e is 32bit is you may be that you miss some library, since you installed it on a 64bit system (even if you installed it and it is assumed that there is everything)

excuse try to give these commands:

as root: updatedb

then as normal user: locate proe

the second should tell you where you have installed proes, I would not want you installed it as a normal user in your home directory.

I to start pro/e I added it to the menu and I entered this command

/usr/local/ptc/proewildfire3.0/bin/proe (check with a filemanager if your path corresponds and the limit modifies it accordingly) then try to launch it from a graphic terminal with the complete path (from normal user)

@cacciatorino: the commands you have indicated do not work, or the shell tells me that they do not exist;

@gio14: with your method it works as long as you log me as root and let it start from the terminal. in case you try as a normal user I receive a message of "belief of the client too weak"

your choosen language "it_it.utf-8" is based on unicode, which this version of pro/engineer does not use. pro/engineer will shut down; please restart with a language that does not contain the string ".utf" or ".utf"

I know about this problem but I have no idea how it works, or at least partly. .

ok sorry for the second problem I solved looking on a site, so it would just stay to solve the problem of launching the program as normal user.
Could you then explain to me kindly how to create a file of "instructions" so you can directly use that to launch proes? I have the list of commands to give but I don't know how to program in linux..

probably it is a matter of permits, I use debian and I do not have these problems, even I if the launch from terminal gives me this error "warning: debian appears to have the loopback address 127.0.1.1 as ip address
this may imply that processes on debian may not be able to connect to non-local processes" but it still works, you may ask on some forums dedicated to suse, at the test limit putting us on front

sudo /usr/local/ptc/proewildfire3.0/bin/proe
for the other problem there is no need for any instruction file, just place yourself on a menu point and right-click, open a window with the directions to insert another menu item, or at the limit if you use gnome you can always click on the panel with the right-click and create a drawer where to insert the various menu items
