step threaded quota

Hello, when I insert the quota with the function "hole and threads" automatically indicates the thread step, right thing, but not always necessary in my opinion. Is there a way to remove the step? I have already tried with the "modified note hole" and also from publisher styles, but nothing, maybe I am losing something myself. Can someone help me? ? ?
