strange file in the project directory

Hello everyone,
I have a curiosity to ask you more than a question, at the end of the last work session, I noticed the presence of a file with numerical extension (*.254) in the project folder and that this file had the same provisional name as the main project axieme.
I tried to eliminate it, but this once the aid reopened, it gave me a regeneration error and the disappearance of a sub together.
I would like to point out, however, that it is not so much that I use I create 3.0, but this is not what I explain.

is the numerical extension of a file of together that 254. It shouldn't be deleted. by default I create each save creates new files with increasing numerical extensions. 254 is the number of progressive rescue that has undergone the project aid

quoto calacc, I recommend you set in folder options to also display file extensions, so you will appear all file version numbers.

Windows displays a file with certain name conditions, different from others, in this case the version *.254, is recognized by windows also for other applications, but it is only similarities of the file name.
